Today is Dia de la Candelaria, or Candlemas, celebrated in Mexico on February 2nd. "Candlemas" because candles are brought to the church to be blessed, as are everyone's baby Jesus dolls. A good day for eating tamales, it's the midway point between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. And it's the reason why I've been seeing new garments for the baby Jesus all around town these last few weeks -- and this one, being sold second hand, with its fabulous 

3-dimensional heart.
