- From 2009: A poet and artist, I've moved back and forth between using language and objects for a long time. The challenge? Creating something from nothing. But as there really is no such thing as nothing, I gather and redistribute. This goes for writing and object making. funny, I don't hate them--especially not the deep purples ones, which are remarkabl\y tough despite their complex blossom structure. They do soldier on despite neglect, drought, dog pee, etc. But I don't love them either. Guess I like my sexual organs a bit more (ahem) resttrained? Sympathy for color issues. Cause the purples and blues do sing.
