A quick trip to Guatemala, during which protests calling for the president to leave office escalated, and we all learned just how deep some people's protection goes, only to watch it disintegrate.
Politics aside, I found a beautiful, historically rich place, and what seemed to be really open and engaging people. Also volcanoes, wonderfully textured surfaces and beautiful wooden windows and doors, terrific doorknockers and of course, fantastically tangled electric wires.

Could this place be more up your street? Great images!

Thanks Martha. Looking forward to going back whenever I can ... but first, NYC. Soon I hope.
